IMPROVING MENTAL WELLBEING IN THE IP PROFESSION

Improving mental wellbeing in the IP profession – remembering we're human

by Jonathan's Voice, Shoosmiths, Illuminate & Vault IP

An event focusing on discussing the issues associated with mental wellbeing in the IP profession.

Tuesday 9 July at Shoosmiths’ offices in Birmingham.

People who experience a mental health problem often say that work is a contributing factor. Long working hours under stress are counterproductive- we all deserve better in our working lives.

In this workshop we will encourage IP attorneys and firms to (i) become more aware of mental health and (ii) think about mental health and holistic wellbeing strategies they could employ. There will be a particular focus on the challenges faced by trade mark and patent attorneys in the current fast-paced, client and deadline focused working environment.

We know a lot of firms organise in-house events concerning wellbeing, but we think this is a great opportunity to discuss the issues and connect with those outside your own firm.

The event will start at 4pm with registration from 3.30pm.

We are asking people to book a place at the event via the following link:
