Chloe’s technical background is in materials science and her daily practice covers a broad range of consumer chemistry, mechanical engineering and biomedical devices.She advises clients how to obtain robust protection for their inventions and provides a coordinated and strategic approach to filing and management of global patent portfolios.She handles all stages of prosecution and contentious work including defending and attacking patents in EPO opposition and appeal proceedings (in person and by VICO), advising on freedom-to-operate issues and participating in UK litigation proceedings.
Laura Ramsay, Dehns
Laura is a European and UK patent attorney recognised in the Legal 500 by her clients as being both innovative and practical in her approach. For the past 15 years she has regularly represented her clients in EPO opposition and appeal proceedings. Laura is experience in using oppostions as a tactical tool to help secure a favourable licence deal between parties.
Laura handles patent work in various fields spanning physics, engineering and materials science, including mechanical systems, electrical control, telematics, medical devices, renewable energy, domestic appliances, aerospace engineering, and composite materials.
Laura graduated from the University of Cambridge with a First Class MSci Degree in Physics and Materials Science and joined Dehns in 2003. She became a Partner of the firm in 2013.
