To mark Mental Health Awareness Week, IP Inclusive and Brodies LLP invite you to join them for a breakfast meeting on managing mental ill health at work. The event will begin with a networking breakfast from 8.30 am, followed by a talk and guided discussion by Joan Cradden, employment partner at Brodies LLP. Joan will explore how to raise awareness and understanding of mental health issues, and how colleagues and employers should address them, balancing the interests of both the affected individuals and the business as a whole.

HR professionals will tell you that managing mental health at work has become a key priority for businesses and organisations. It brings enormous responsibility. On one view, too much is expected of employers. On the other hand, the law is there to provide protection and support for those suffering from genuine ill health. Recognition of mental health issues ensures that appropriate intervention and support can be provided at the right time and at the right level, whilst also ensuring that the organisation and its business continue to function effectively.
