Via a live video-link between CIPA Hall and The Hague, watch EPO examiners and EPA Chris Mercer enact a mock examining division hearing. Get a unique insight into the examiners’ thinking, not only during the oral proceedings themselves but also while preparing beforehand and in the adjournments. See how a highly experienced attorney navigates through objections on clarity, added subject matter, novelty and inventive step, with the chance to ask questions afterwards and to explore the issues raised with Michael Silverleaf QC, a barrister with extensive experience of EPO hearings, and another top-flight EPA, Kristina Cornish.
This event forms part of CIPA’s regular course on EPO proceedings, but is also open to other CIPA members. It is aimed at European patent attorneys with relatively little experience of oral proceedings, who would like to develop the knowledge and the confidence to conduct a case for themselves.
Registration will start at 12:30 pm.
Places are limited; please book early to avoid disappointment.
