And making those communications effective is vital not only for efficiency and professional standards, but also for building relationships with colleagues, clients and suppliers. Rarely, however, is training provided in this most vital of professional skills.
We're left to find our own style, and all too often end up simply copying the letters our predecessors were writing in the 1990s, warts and all.
